I found these cute little flowers on a trail down from Sugarloaf Mountain in Sooke Wilderness Regional Park. They seemed to have a bit of webbing on the top of the flower – maybe an insect had been spinning a web or cocoon.
Wikipedia says this flower is a parasite; it attaches to the root of another plant and lives off the host. I don’t think so though. They’re too pretty to be parasitic.
