Woolly Sunflower / Oregon Sunshine
Eriophyllum lanatum

Woolly sunflowers are a native species and common on Vancouver Island. The brilliant yellow flowers sit on top of long stalks. The plant usually grows in clumps and has silvery grey, woolly foliage. I saw these in a dry meadow at Rathtrevor Provincial Park.
