English Daisy
English Daisy / Lawn Daisy / Common Daisy
Bellis perennis
Asteraceae Family
This perennial is native to Europe but has widely naturalised in most temperate regions including North America. This pretty weed can be found on lawns, meadows and roadsides, at low elevations.
The English Daisy exhibits heliotropism, where flowers follow the position of the sun in the sky. During the night, the English Daisy closes its petals and may assume a random orientation. At dawn, the flowers turn again toward the east where the sun rises. The flowers follow the sun as the day progresses.[1] [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellis_perennis
