Gold moss stonecrop

Found these flowers halfway up a trail to Sugarloaf Mountain in Sooke Hills Regional Park. 

They were growing in rocky, shallow soil about 200 meters above sea level. Apparently rabbits and deer avoid eating them because of the acrid taste.
